New York Times - Myopia Epidemic

https://www.nytimes.com/2021/05/03/well/live/nearsightedness-myopia-children.html

By 2050, half of the world is estimated to be nearsighted, which will mean a greater portion of our adults will be at risk for glaucoma, macular degeneration, cataracts and retinal detachment unlike ever before. While optometrists like Dr. Arlene Schwartz are trying to educate patients in Scarsdale, Hartsdale, and the rest of Westchester New York about the Myopia Epidemic, we are glad to see articles like this spreading awareness of the immediacy and importance for all of us to start helping our children prevent their myopia from progressing.
