Our Specialty Services
We provide specialty eye care services for individuals who have eye issues that cannot be corrected by traditional eyeglasses and contact lenses or other chronic eye diseases. Our optometrist, Dr. Schwartz, has witnessed first-hand hundreds of patients that have experienced the life-changing effects of our specialties. Our optometrist has extensive training and experience in vision therapy, myopia control, and scleral lenses for Keratoconus and corneal irregularities. Dr. Schwartz has extensive relationships with other Optometrists, Ophthalmologists, Occupational Therapists, and general care doctors that refer specialty patients because they know they can count on her professional knowledge and patient care.

Myopia (nearsightedness) is a condition that develops at a very young age and continues to worsen over time. If detected early, the adequate procedure can be carried out to slow down the progression of myopia. This is extremely important as children with medium or high myopia are at 2200% greater risk of retinal detachment, and severely increased the risk of other vision-threatening eye diseases
We offer various advanced procedures such as Ortho-K, multifocal contacts, and atropine therapy to help reduce the progression of myopia in children.

Our Hartsdale Optometrist has extensive experience fitting custom scleral lenses for Keratoconus, post LASIK eye surgery complications, and corneal irregularities. The Scleral Lens provides superior comfort because of its unique design where it rests on the sclera (white of the eye) while creating a tear-reservoir by vaulting over the cornea. The lenses provide exceptional comfort and vision for even the hardest to fit patients.

20% of children have vision issues that affect their ability to learn. Our vision therapy doctor will check all aspects of your childs vision, not just their need for a new pair of glasses. A developmental eye exam will check your child for focusing, tracking, convergence, and teaming abilities of their eyes.
Whether they are experiencing conditions such as amblyopia (lazy eye), strabismus, excess or insufficient convergence, focusing or accommodation problems, or eye tracking difficulties, our custom-tailed vision therapy procedures are will help your child achieve their full potential.
Hours may vary due to holidays. Please call ahead to confirm office hours.
